Built Through Failure
Navigate Capital exists because I spent my twenties failing at ventures, then spent the next decade watching thousands of capable business owners fail the same way—not from lack of talent, but lack of access to the tools, infrastructure, and expertise that Fortune 500 companies take for granted.
We're not building another private equity firm. We're building the infrastructure I wish I'd had.
Our Team Structure
We don't rely on individual rockstars. We rely on two powerful, scalable engines.
Navigate Agents is our dedicated technical workforce. It is not a collection of freelancers, but a unified entity responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling the technology that powers our portfolio.
Rapid Prototyping
Builds mission-critical systems in 1-4 weeks, not months.
Shared Infrastructure
Maintains the "Bedrock" codebases that all portfolio companies leverage.
Navigate Advisory Group is our network of operating partners. These are seasoned executives and domain experts who step in to lead, advise, and grow our portfolio companies.
Embedded Leadership
Partners serve as interim C-suite or board advisors to drive strategy.
Domain Expertise
112+ partners across 7 verticals ensure we have the right expert for every challenge.
The Failures That Taught Me
Every successful venture is built on lessons from unsuccessful ones. Here are mine.
I spent most of my twenties failing at ventures.
One example: I secured a patent, set up the company, paid legal costs, spent months securing preorders and building plans. Then prototype costs ballooned into six figures. I never built a physical product. The venture died before it started.
Another: In 2011, we had a great plan for a delivery logistics service. We massively underestimated production-grade software development costs. We had no idea how to raise capital. We failed.
The pattern was always the same: I was full of confidence and completely unprepared. I didn't know what I didn't know. I lacked the tools, the infrastructure, the network to execute.
Navigate Capital is my answer to this problem.
I don't want talented people making the same mistakes I did. I want to give them the resources so they can find new mistakes to make, and we can all learn together.
That's why Navigate Capital is built as a vertically integrated ecosystem that solves the specific problems I lived through.
Our Operating Principles
Not just inspirational quotes-operational directives that guide every decision
In practice: We ship something every week, measuring features deployed not planned. Recent example: Needed financial analysts, so we built financialanalysisai.com in a week to attract and test them
In practice: Our vision: democratize enterprise capabilities for SMBs. Our tactics evolve based on what works. That's why we divested in 2024 to focus on what's proven
In practice: Conservative projections create resilience. I learned this from my failures in the 2010s. We under-promise and over-deliver
In practice: 1% better each day = 37x better in a year. We optimize for sustainable compound growth. That's why we're proving the model through 2027-28 before scaling acquisitions
In practice: Our 112-partner coalition creates more value than any single firm could alone. When we need new connections, we don't ask—we build tools that attract the right people
